On February 18, 2023 a meeting was organized with Amir Akhmedov, Managing Partner of our firm, with freshman and senior students of the International Law Faculty of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy. The meeting focused on the requirements for candidates to enter the legal profession, the skills that need to be developed by future lawyers, and possible pitfalls that future lawyers might face.
Amir shared his experience and knowledge with young specialists, not only in law but also in psychology and public speaking. During the training visual examples of developing professional and personal qualities of a lawyer were given with participation of students.
The students were interested in the professional life of a lawyer and during the event they asked interesting questions about the failures that lawyers face and how he personally coped with the barriers in business.
In addition, some of the students were particularly interested in understanding the difference between working as a lawyer in the private sector and in the public service. In this regard, Amir shared his experiences of working in the state service and comparing working in consultancy.
