Our firm’s Managing Partner, Amir Akhmedov, held a meeting with junior and senior students of the International Law Faculty at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy on February 18, 2023. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the key requirements and skills needed to succeed in the legal profession, as well as potential challenges and obstacles that may arise.
During the session, Amir shared his extensive knowledge and expertise, not only in the field of law, but also in the areas of psychology and public speaking. He provided the students with visual examples of how to develop the necessary professional and personal qualities of a successful lawyer, with active participation from the students.
The attendees demonstrated a keen interest in the career of a lawyer and raised many thought-provoking questions about the common setbacks faced by legal professionals, and how Amir overcame personal challenges in his own business.
Moreover, the participants expressed a particular interest in understanding the differences between working as a lawyer in the private sector versus the public service. In response, Amir provided insightful perspectives from his own experience working in both domains, comparing and contrasting the two.
Overall, the session was informative and inspiring, equipping the students with invaluable insights into the legal profession and providing them with a deeper understanding of what it takes to succeed as a lawyer
